Hi,
sorry for jumping straight in but needing help.
Im hoping someone can help me with my dilemma. I bought a flat a few years back as an investment and it backfired because of the recession. I can barely pay the mortgage but I’ve been hit with this problem. I have a tenant just now that helps me pay the mortgage My electricity meter is still in my builder’s brother’s name, which I never knew about. Seemingly he’s been getting all the bills in his name and now he doesn’t want it as he has a communal bill to pay, my agents managed to get him to wait a moth but basically I have to somehow get it in my name. He’s going to get the meters disconnected, so he can use the deposits to pay his bill, seemingly my letting agent can’t do this for me as it has to be personal. Also if i can’t come to Cyprus then you can appoint a North Cyprus solicitor to do by giving them a specific power of attorney via the Turkish consulate in London. Also its been mentioned the deposit is for non-citizens 1407TL. Can anyone suggest anything as im stuck in Scotland and don’t know what to do. Any suggestions would be grateful. George
